Trauma sometimes is hidden in patterns we like to call “normal”— like overthinking, people-pleasing, shutting down, being overly responsible, or constantly feeling like it's “too much” or “not enough.”
Many survivors can look like they function, succeed, and hold it all together extremely well, yet- quietly they are really carrying unprocessed pain.
In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we explore the subtle signs of trauma that often get minimized, dismissed, or mistaken as personality traits. We’ll unpack behaviors like hypervigilance, emotional numbness, avoidance, perfectionism, self-criticism, and relational disconnect when left un-dealt with.

Abuse is usually quiet and invisible — normally strategic and control disguised as care. Coercive control is one of the most dangerous forms of abuse because it doesn’t just restrict a person’s freedom — it slowly convinces them they don’t deserve any.
In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we uncover how abusers use control, manipulation, surveillance, and dependency to shrink someone’s world to nothing.
We talk about how isolation often starts as “concern”, “protection” or "what they can afford" but eventually it evolves into dominance, fear, and extreme loneliness.
We’ll learn how coercive control works, why survivors often don’t recognize it until much later, and how trauma bonding keeps people tangled in relationships that feel really impossible to leave.

After betrayal, abandonment, manipulation, or abuse, trusting again can feel impossible. You may long for connection, but your body still pulls you back in fear. You may crave real intimacy, but the hesitation of being hurt again holds you captive still.
It's hard to know what a healthy relationship looks like, and you may find yourself still heavily guarded, suspicious, and overwhelmed.
In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we unpack what it really takes to rebuild trust after trauma.
You’ll learn how to rebuild self-trust first, identify what safe people feel like, communicate boundaries, and let others earn trust slowly over time. We’ll explore how to reconnect in the healthy relationships you already have (or want to keep), how to pace vulnerability, and how to move toward intimacy without abandoning your voice.
This episode will help you understand your reactions and offer hope for future connection that will feel safe and secure.

Why do trauma survivors avoid certain conversations, people, memories, or basic responsibilities? Even when they genuinely want to move forward? And why does our mind so easily slip into the worst-case scenarios, addicted to self-blame, or still feeling hopeless?
In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we explore one of the most misunderstood trauma responses: avoidance, and the negative thoughts and moods that accompany it.
Avoidance is the brain’s attempt to protect us from our emotional pain even when nothing physical is happening anymore. Yet those heavy thoughts that still feel real- and many of them were shaped by trauma, not by who we really are.
We’ll break down why avoidance forms, how it becomes a cycle, and how trauma rewires the way we see ourselves and the world. You’ll learn gentle, practical ways to interrupt avoidance patterns, challenge trauma-driven beliefs, and slowly rebuild emotional resilience.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, numb, withdrawn, or overwhelmed by your own thoughts, this episode will help you understand what’s happening inside—and show you how to begin reclaiming your motivation, hope, and sense of self.

Are You in an Abusive Relationship?
Dec 31, 2025

Abuse doesn’t always start with bruises or screaming. It usually begins with small controlling commands thats disguised as concern, or the false apologies that erase their accountability. Or even that the slow erosion of your confidence and independence you didn't even noticed it disappeared. Until it's gone.
Many survivors don’t really realize they’re in an abusive relationship until they find themselves deep in anxiety, feeling isolated, being constantly silenced, or constantly trying to “keep the peace.” And then, it feels like it's too late. Because we believe it is. And there is no other life expect this one.
In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we explore the subtle and overt signs of abuse and how these cycles of hurt are followed by temporary waves of calm of delusion. And then the cycle starts all over again.
This conversation is for anyone who has ever wondered:“Is this just a rough relationship, or is this abuse?”“Why do I feel scared, small, or confused all the time?”“Why does my voice feel lost?”
You are not imagining your pain. And if you recognize yourself in these patterns, there is hope — healing begins with awareness, and safety begins with support.

Bonus Episode you didn't know you needed.
In the middle of recording another podcast- this topic just came out of me and inadvertently I started recording this topic about the spirit of fear. I dive into my personal story when the spirit of fear entered into me a 2nd time- however, I discovered it quickly and cast it out immediately.
I talk about how the spirit of fear makes you open the door for it to enter into you and so much more. This was a fun episode that I've been wanting to record for awhile. Enjoy!
