In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we talk about how when we ignore the red flags for too long, or we get used to the ugly brown compromised flags; we can become numb to the sight of them. That deep sub-conscious feeling of understanding that we’ve been quenching and depriving the power and goodness of Holy Spirit that is meant for OUR GOOD!
Maybe you haven’t been ignoring red flags, maybe you’ve just repainting them. Sometimes it’s the way you are handling a situation (or not handling it) is the red flag that you’re ignoring or repainting. Or maybe you are putting up your own red flags on things you don’t want to deal with. We go into all of that in this episode!
If you are interested in reading more about this subject, check out our blog on how and why we’re trying to deal with our flags- this is responsibly that should not be taken lightly and it will go well with us when taken care of properly my friends!

The reality of being afraid of the unknown, especially the future is more common than most people care to talk about. However, when we’re secure in Christ, we do not need to worry about the future. Jesus tells us constantly not to worry or to be anxious about anything. In this weeks episode of Life Re-assembled we talk about the importance of finding a community, no matter how far gone you think you are or how crazy you believe your situation is. There is a place where there is no judgment, no expectations. Wearing no more masks, because you don’t need to. You never need to feel alone when you come to Jesus, embrace yourself in His endless redeeming grace.

Living without purpose or direction can lead you into a world of trouble- and fast. Not having a firm aim, will allow for others to redirect you more easily. In this weeks episode of Life Re-assembled, we discuss when you start heading into your calling, there will be distractions, other voices, and personal reasons to stop and redirect.
However, if we do not allow God to redirect when needed, and we start becoming our own guide... that will derail us off course so fast, we don't even know we left the tracks. And it could be a 20 year journey of wondering, "where did my life go?"
My hope for you is that we can see these signs early enough and recognize when we need to turn back to God, or to stay the course even if it's not 100% clear we're making any headway. Either way, we will know when we lean on God and not our own understanding. Having all of our ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make our paths straight.

Having your voice taken away can be one of the most devastating acts taken against any of us. Growing up, I never really answered for myself- giving me a disadvantage for when I grew up and needing to speak up for myself didn’t happen for years. I didn’t know how. I didn’t know I could. So I remained silent in many circumstances. Due to my lack of having a voice, the rest of my life was stripped away.
Then when I was older, when all of a sudden I had the space to talk- I was speechless. Have you ever experienced anything similar? In this weeks episode of Life Re-assembled, we discuss the various determents that comes with having your voice taken away, what it feels like when you begin speaking but with someone else’s voice. Sometimes when you’re given an opportunity to have a voice, you feel that at any moment your words will be used against you and perverted in some way. Your voice matters and in this episode we dive into why.

In this episode of Life Re-assembled, we go deeper in our conversation about how trust correlates to our mental health. Asking questions like, “do you view God as untrustworthy?” We discuss how imperative it is to practice trusting ourselves by before we can even show up for anyone else. When we become trustworthy to ourselves, we will naturally attract the right people in our lives who are also trustworthy.
We also discuss my journey of how vulnerable I was after leaving my abusive relationship and every time I tried reaching out to trust anyone, I was still constantly cut off and abandoned by others. A repeated pattern of not being able to trust anyone except God.
If your ready to re-assemble how you trust, then this episode is for you.

In this weeks episode of Life Re-assembled, I open up about how my lack of establishing boundaries exposed me completely to the enemy. And by doing so, I was a perfect victim for an abusive relationship. My life and family were forever changed due to this decision of not even trying.
It wasn’t until God placed a boundary between me and the enemy that I finally had one. I did not understand the imperativeness of having set limits to what you’re willing to do and say. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. When you respect your boundary, others will too. And those who don’t respect it, don’t belong near it.
God is a great project manager in our re-assembling process. When you have boundaries, and allow God to re-assemble them; you’re allowing Him to expose the areas where the enemy can still sneak in. And together, you’re creating a solid barrier between what you refuse to have in your life moving forward.

Life offers us so many opportunities to experience many types of emotions, and sometimes more than one at the same time. Sometimes having the basic facts can keep us from going too far into an emotion that is not welcomed. But either way, our emotions tell us things, it’s our body’s way to communicate with us.
In this episode we talk about suppressing and ignoring our emotions. Processing our emotions can be a little hard to do when we are not used to doing this. Being aware of having our emotions is the first step. Then understanding and allowing yourself to have the emotion is the second step. The third step is determined by a few factors; is this moment the time to express the emotion, is this emotion rational, do I need to step out to fully engaged in this emotion?

On this weeks episode of Life Re-assembled, I discuss how creating rules to protect yourself without the proper instructions can cause more harm - especially when those rules do not apply to every situation.
We also go into the two different directions when it comes to thinking during the trauma verses where you have the space to process and prepare for the trauma.
We understand that sometimes repeating Bible verses doesn’t take away the situation- but it does take away the effects of the situation.
